Aesthetic fillings

        The most common dental disease, tooth decay (caries) causes cavity due to demage of tooth material, without treatment becoming bigger and bigger, weakens the tooth and lead to sconsequential diseases due to infection of the dental pulp. The restorative dentistry can help to solve this problem.

      The tooth decay of the occlusal surface can be prevent, to seal the fissure of the young permanent teeth with liquid filling material preventig plaque retention ther. In case of undiscolored fissures the drilling is unnecessary.

      If the cavities formed, the tooth should be restored to function, form and color to restore the original state so that the filling is to prevent further decay.

            The restoration made with plastic filling material (Fillings). Usually in local anesthesia (Lidocain or Ultracain) we cleanl the cavity with dental drills, removing the infected tooth material, then after etching and applying an adhesive layer is inserted in the correct colored fillingmaterial. Illuminating with strong blue light the individual layers the filling material becomes hard. Next, remove the excess filling material it must be formatted, to ensure a comfortable fit, not to be high. The new filling surface is then smooth, shiny polished.

      For the individual dental restorations, particularly the front region aesthetics to achieve a variety of color filling material insertion is required. The composite filling material adhere with special adhesive to the tooth tissue, need less tooth material loss, than in case of use traditional amalgam fillings. The patient's request was to avoid the gap between central incisors. Old discolored fillings are in the upper right ( left on the picture) lateral incisor .	The gap was adjusted by aesthetic fillings (Space closure). On the lateral incisor the old fillings are replaced.

      The cervical abrasion caused by horizontal toothbrushing can be filled using the above adhesion technique without any drilling.

      In case of deep cavity, close to the nerve, despite the most careful treatment, unfortunately, sometimes a tooth ache happens, then root canal treatment is necessary.

      It is also possible that using the above adhesion technique frontfogakra to fix jewelery on the incisor tooth without any drilling.

      Moving teeth can be splinting with a special polyethylene strip to each other. The periodontal tissues of teeth can not be regenerated from this treatment, although the stability of the teeth increases.

 

      The lost tooth material is replaceable with inserting an inlay made by a dental technician, which can made of gold composit filling material and porcelain as well. After special preparation and impression it will be adhesived in the cavity.

      If you have a high degree of tooth material demage that could not restore with conventional tooth filling, a crown can be made by a dental technician to achieve lasting results.

 

 

 

1. Does it hurts a tooth filling?

      The preparation, drilling, removal of the decayedtooth material of a living tooth can be painful, therefore, surgery still offers the possibility of anesthesia. The filling of a root canal treated tooth will be painless, and you do not need anesthesia, if only the minimum necessary for drilling, or may not require drilling for restoration.

2. Which is better, the aesthetics or or the amalgam fillings?

      The quality of the filling is highly dependent on the preparation method. The amalgamfillings are not supported by the Hungarian Dental Associationbut, instead clearly suggests the aesthetic restoration. In today's modern materials and filling technique will allow for aesthetic and long-term well-pads restorations.

3. Do I need to replace my amalgam fillings?

     We believe that only if the problem of amalgam (caries, fractured amalgam filling). Otherwise, only the aesthetic grounds, of course, we make the replacement.

4. How long after inserting fillings can not eat?

    At the end of the treatment the aesthetic filling reaches final hardness, so in principle could be used immediately. If anesthesia happened, it is advisable to wait for the numbness gone. 

5. Does the fissure sealing mean a complete protection against tooth decay?

     No. The fissure sealing only the occlusal surface will affect, so the other places of teeth, such as between teeth can develop dental caries.

6. Can be decayed a filled tooth?

     If oral hygiene is not adequate, or the filling was not properly prepared, in addition to filling cavities occur. It is also possible that the tooth decay occurs on the another surface, regardless of previous filling.
